What do you think is the prospect of rescuing the rest of the Chibok girls?
Assuming I had clue that they were going to kidnap the girls, I would have been in Chibok sleeping. Then I would have been in that hall and everybody would be kidnapped. I didn’t know about it. When I heard about it, I told the government to calm down. They should keep quiet. I was able to pass the message across. I said ‘please start releasing them’. It did not take time before some of the girls were released. So by the time I knew it, the whole thing was in the media. Boko Haram now called me and said mama we are no more releasing. The Chibok girls have become diamond and gold. I asked why? They said even Obama’s wife is carrying ‘Bring Back Our Girls’. They now knew that they are very important as the whole attention was focused on them.
After that I became really disturbed. I started tracing them in the bush to see whether I could get to where the girls were. I slept in the bush. Then later they told me where to come and pick 50 of them. I was heading there with Dr. Steven Davis and one general. We slept in that bush. So by the time we got there, civilian JTF alerted them in the bush and was chasing them in the bush and they now took off. I went there with the ambulance. They called me in front of the general and requested that I should come to a certain location the following day and pick 50 girls. They said we should have 14 ambulance buses on standby. I said ‘okay’. They also told me to come with shai which means tea with milk and put plenty sugar. This is because some of the girls were very weak and one with a broken hand.
So Dr. Davies and that high-ranking general now decided to go with University of Maiduguri vans and some doctors and nurses. They warned me never to come with a military and if I do they would slaughter me in front of the military.
So we were making the preparation. The general with us received a message on his telephone: “Chibok girls sighted.” So we rushed. By the time we got there civilian JTF had seen them and gave them a hot chase.
By the time we got there they had driven them too far. I was calling on the telephone but their lines were switched off. It was later in the night I got them and they asked me: mama what happened? Did you tell anyone? I said ‘no I did not’. Civilian JTF chased them and there was a massacre.
They killed so many of them —up to 400— that time. We lost them, We slept in that bush with the military and commander of the military know me and everything. They were so happy that I could take this risk.
Early morning, they called me and asked ‘mama where are you?’ I said ‘I am somewhere’. They now said the roads were dangerous that we should pass through Monguno on our way back to Maiduguri. That was how we lost that one. If they had not chased them. If they had not sighted them we could have just finished this thing. Those 50 girls would have been in our custody. everything would have been over by now.
So in your opinion, President Obasanjo’s comment that the girls could not longer be rescued was greatly exaggerated?
Yes. It was exaggerated. When he made that statement, they called me. You know they read everything —they read a lot. They go on the Internet and read a lot of things. They called me and said mama go to the newspapers. Tell them they are alive. I said why don’t you come so that two of us will say that they are alive? He said ‘no mama. Please do this. Nigeria will curse us. So I now came out in the newspaper and narrated story saying they are alive. Nobody believed it. Now I kept on pushing them. What they want is proof of life. So when we get there, I will cross the bridge of showing the proof of life. So it is very easy, What are they doing with them? Even though they are married come out with your wives we will settle you.

Heartbreaking photo of elderly Canadian forced to live apart after 62 years of marriage
A touching photo of an elderly Canadian couple who have been married for 62 years and are now forced to live in separate care homes went viral after their granddaughter shared their story on Facebook.
The photo of Wolfram Gottschalk, 83, and his wife, Anita, 81, shows the couple wiping away tears as they held hands during one of Anita's visit at a transitional facility in British Columbia, Canad, while they are waiting for Wolf to be be accommodated at Anita's nursing home. The image has been shared more than 10,000 times.
Ashley Baryik, 29 said her grandparents have been separated because there is no room for both of them at the same home in Surrey, British Columbia. Mr Gottschalk, who has been diagnosed with lymphoma, is on a waiting list to move into the same home as his wife.
'It was the saddest photo I have ever taken" Baryik wrote on Tuesday. She explained that her grandparents were separated in January when Mr Gottschalk went to hospital for congestive heart failure.
"Friends please read! This is The saddest photo I have ever taken. This is my Omi and my Opi. As you can see they are both wiping away tears! But why? It was taken in Surrey at Yale road, a transitional facility for people waiting to get into nursing homes, that's where my Opi is! After 62 years together in marriage they have been separated for 8 months due to backlogs and delays by our health care system, whom have the power to have my grandpa moved to the same care facility as my grandmother. They cry every time they see each other, and it is heartbreaking. To make it worse, TODAY he was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Besides that limiting his time and making this more urgent, His Dementia is growing ever stronger each day, but his memory of my grandmother has not faded a inch...yet. We are afraid however that if they are living apart much longer, his memory of her won't stay. This has been a strain on our family, making the 30 minute commute to bring her to see him, every second day, so he does not forget her. Now with the news of cancer, our fight to have them in the same facility is even more urgent. He isn't even getting proper care where he is, including no physical therapy which we were promised (the only reason he is in a wheelchair is because it has been 8 months of no walking!!) Is Indian man above the law in Nigeria? Please share till it reaches the appropriate authorities. I write you about the case of my immediate junior sister . She works as personal assistance to an Indian man's wife. His name is Mr. Jay Keswani, he is one of the Aswani brothers.
My sister Miss Faith Nwaneri, works with the wife as a PA. She works friday to Wednesday nd have her off days on Thursdays. At banana island, they usually go in there with a gate pass, which he's supposed to get for my sister, but he didn't, rather he gave the receipt of his own monthly dues which covers only him and his family.
For 8months, My sister has been pleading her way into the island, until that fateful Friday morning of 12th of august 2016, as she was coming back from her off day, the security personnel refused her entry, demanding she shld provide her gate pass. At that point she was delayed @ the gate.
When she finally came, the wife of d Indian man asked her why she is late, and she told her it was the gate pass issue that caused her delay. The woman got angry and went in to quarrel with the husband.
Then the Indian man call my sister and demand that she shld return the form she was to fill and submit for the gate pass. As usual my sister said if he collects it, he normally tear it and sack the person, so my sister @ that point think of saving her job, so she told him that she already submitted it, and that she is just waiting for him to give her the money for the processing. But wen he insist that he would follow my sister to the gate to collect the form @ all cost, my sister seening the anger in him quickly tell him that as a matter of fact that she is still with the form, and was only waiting for him to give her the money so she could submit both the form and the money for the processing of the gate pass. There he got furious nd said" you lied to me?". Then he hit her with his briefcase bag, nd my sister fainted. So at first, he thought it was a joke, then he hit her with his leg to comfirm if she was just pretending, But when he pulled her over and notice pool of blood, he quickly call his wife and they start pouring water on her head to rivive her. So at last they revived her and left her at their apartment at 19th floor, and they left for office. After my sister regained consciousness, she struggled through the back staircase to d basement, where a good Samaritan, helped her to Falomo police station, from there she was referred to Falomo police hospital, for treatment. There, my sister called me to come over and I paid the bill's, then I took her home.
When I contacted Mr. Jay Keswani, to find out what would make an elderly man like him hit a lady young enough to be his daughter and got her injured, he (Mr. Keswani ) claimed its an accident.
The falomo police tried to invite him, but where refused entering even to serve him with the invitation letter. The security men at tower claimed they were acting on instructions not to collect the invitation letter from the police man who came to deliver the letter. The security men there at benefista tower also told us that they will do every to silent the case, as they claim its their responsibility to protect their clients as assigned.
Ever since then, Mr. Jay Keswani ("who most told my sister that Nigerians has no future without the Indians who came into the country to invest, and that he whatever he does to any Nigerian, he will never apologize") has been walking freely with no action taken against him.
All efforts to reach him to resolve this matter by our lawyer proved abortive, as he has bluntly refused to comply. Any my lawyer is working on getting his arrested. And if he is ready negotiate out of court, no problem, then he should pay the damages nd compensation as earlier demanded by my lawyer or put up a better negotiation.
My question is what will prompt Mr. Keswani to have such heart to hit a woman like that and claim it was an accident? If she had died in his apartment, perhaps Mr. Keswani would have cover up this case, and have my sister thrown into the lagoon. Our lawyer wrote him to reach a compromise for settlement and payment of compensation within seven days which ended yesterday, but up till now there's no response from him. It's shows that this man has no regards for rule of law and the Nigerian citizen.
All i needed is for friends to make publicity through their facebook pages, so dat justice will not be swept under the carpet.

Chibok girls: My govt is prepared to talk to bonafide leaders of Boko Haram- Pres. Buhari
"I have made a couple of comments on the Chibok girls and it seems to me that much of it has been politicised. What we said is that the government which I preside over is prepared to talk to bonafide leaders of Boko Haram.
If they do not want to talk to us directly, let them pick an internationally recognised Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), convince them that they are holding the girls and that they want Nigeria to release a number of Boko Haram leaders in detention, which they are supposed to know. If they do it through the ‘modified leadership’ of Boko Haram and they talk with an internationally recognised NGO then Nigeria will be prepared to discuss for their release" he said.President Buhari, who spoke to the media on the margins of the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VI), warned that the Federal Government will not waste time and resources with ``doubtful sources’’ claiming to know the whereabouts of the girls.
"We want those girls out and safe. The faster we can recover them and hand them over to their parents, the better for us."He maintained that the terror group, which pledged allegiance to ISIS, has been largely decimated by the gallant Nigerian military with the support of immediate neighbours from Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin.
"Some of the information about the division in Boko Haram is already in the press and I have read in the papers about the conflict in their leadership. The person known in Nigeria as their leader, we understand was edged out and the Nigerian members of Boko Haram started turning themselves to the Nigerian military. We learnt that in an air strike by the Nigeria Air Force he was wounded. Indeed their top hierarchy and lower cadre have a problem and we know this because when we came into power, they were holding 14 out of the 774 local governments in Nigeria. But now they are not holding any territory and they have split to small groups attacking soft targets"he saidOn the militancy in the Niger Delta region, President Buhari said the Federal Government is also open to dialogue to resolve all contending issues in the area.
"We do not believe that they (the militants) have announced ceasefire. We are trying to understand them more. Who are their leaders and which areas do they operate and other relevant issues," he said.
