Gunmen demand N100m ransom for sports minister Sango, son and 3 others

A former Minister of Sports and now Plateau State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Damishi Sango was yesterday kidnapped with four others travelling with him, including his son.

The five were on their way to attend the PDP national convention in Abuja.

The kidnappers made contact with Sango’s family yesterday afternoon and demanded N100 million ransome.

The state party Publicity Secretary, John Akans confirmed the ransom demand but stated that state party officials were yet to take any decision as national officers of the party were handling the matter.

Sango was abducted with his companions along Jere-Kagarko road in Kaduna state while travelling in a Lexus jeep .
