A dying dad is seen cradling his newborn son weeks after doctors gave him days to live.Brain cancer patient Cagney Wenk defied medical experts to hold on long enough to meet Levon for the first time.
However, the pair embrace for several touching minutes in front of sobbing hospital staff.
Prior to the birth, the 26-year-old had three brain surgeries, and was being treated in the intensive care unit at Boulder Community Hospital in Colorado.
At 2.12am, they welcomed their son - weighing 8lb 8oz - together after Cagney was whisked from the ICU to the delivery room to make sure he was able to be at the birth and even cut the cord. The surgery has impaired Cagney's sight, but his emotional reaction to just the sound of his baby's new cries is incredible.
After Levon was born, the hospital staff brought Cagney's bed closer so he could see his baby better.
